Bilateral femoral agenesis in 3-month-old baby: A case report

Background: Bilateral congenital femoral agenesis is a rare anomaly. To our knowledge, there have only been three examples of simple abnormalities linked to the facial syndrome. We present straightforward case bilateral in 3-month-old female infant who did not syndrome and whose mother diabetes. Discussion: unusual anomaly; six cases reported. Other structural are often involved; these include acetabulum, musculature, vessels, ligaments knee, tibia, fibula, foot. In case, no other anomalies found. The majority cases, however, sporadic; therefore, parents may be reassured that risk further offspring being affected negligible. classification by Aitken widely used. X-ray examination showed femur, normal tibia proximal cruris lateral acetabula. Conclusion: Although frequently maternal diabetes mellitus, recognized cause for most cases.
